Discover How Your Mental, Emotional, Somatically Intelligent, and Mindful Selves Are Vital and Intertwined
Living in Integration
Many things can get in the way of our journey towards being integrated, whole, and our truest Selves, such as childhood wounds and cultural expectations and conditioning. Sometimes the way we were raised can get in the way of our process of growing our identity during childhood. A primary goal of therapy is to shed or transmute aspects of our Selves that aren’t supporting us, and to identify, own, and integrate our true Self. In other words, if our work is about one thing, it is about you becoming your true, authentic Self.
Dr, Julie Waters’ hope as a therapist is to provide a healthy, safe space for you to explore, heal, and recover your whole, true self and to understand and value how your mental, emotional, somatically intelligent, and mindful Selves are all vitally needed by you.
In my work as a psychologist and also in my personal life, I cultivate an internal sense of integration that is reflected in the way I live my life. At work, I focus on being in alignment with this intention and practicing from an integrated model so I can support my clients in exploring, owning, and expressing who they truly are. This is transformational work and, when realized, it is deeply satisfying for my clients and me.
